I have to admit that it's been a bit slow since we moved to New York. My mom works 7pm to 7pm because of the commuting and my dad works 730am to 8pm because he's just started a new job and wants to impress. I'm left to my normal 1pm visit from dad for lunch and counting down for the next weekend to come when mom will walk me up to Central Park to see the grass.
That's why when my parents told me that I had a visitor coming, I was so excited I would hardly contain myself! I barked who and my dad responsed Spencer Fraley! Spencer Fraley, I thought..... I thought that guy didn't like me or maybe it was just he didn't like when I would try to sit on his lap... Spencer Fraley! Coming to visit me! I was thrilled and overcome with joy!
Over the days before Spencer's arrival I tried my best to keep the house as tidy as I could. I would even get out of the way when my mom vacuumed as let's admit it - I shed a lot....
Then on that Tuesday night - Spencer arrived!!! My first visitor! How exciting! He was in NYC, a familiar face! I followed him around most of the night and made sure that he was tucked in for a peaceful nights sleep. First thing Wednesday morning, I ran out to the living room and jumped on him excited to get our adventurous day started! I wondered where was Spencer going to take me on his trip!
From that point, I said bye to mom and dad and waited for Spencer to get ready for our day of fun. As I watched him tie up his shoes, I knew it would be minutes before our adventure would begin, so the excitement kept building.!!!! Maybe Central Park, maybe madison square, the possibilities were endless!
.......................... He looked down, said Bye Chester... and pulled the same thing my parents do as they head out to work....
That's when i realized, he wasn't here to see me.....
